Most mixers focus on quantity (meeting as many people as possible). The Foundations Lab focuses on quality (how you actually show up). We use a structured process to move participants past the "Social Mask." By using guided prompts and communication frameworks like the Wheel of Consent, we bypass the standard data-swapping (work, suburb, age) and get straight to the things that actually build chemistry: presence, vulnerability, and clear boundaries.
We’ve got you covered with our Mediated Exchange System. While we encourage you to use your new communication tools to ask directly, we also provide "Connection Cards." You can simply note down the person you resonated with and hand it to the facilitator. If the interest is mutual, we’ll facilitate the introduction for you the following day. This removes the "sting" of immediate rejection and ensures the experience remains high-vibe and low-stress for everyone.
Not at all. In fact, the first thing we teach is that "No" is a complete sentence. The Foundations Lab is a "brave space," not a forced one. You are always in control of your level of participation. We use the Wheel of Consent to ensure you only engage in ways that feel safe and authentic to you. Most participants find that once they see how much we celebrate a "No," their anxiety transforms into a sense of deep relief and confidence.
Event #1 Specifics
The Breakdown: This is our flagship "Foundations" experience. Before we play, we learn the rules of the game. Yuri will lead you through a series of somatic exercises designed to lower your social anxiety and raise your relational intelligence.
✔ Phase 1: Identifying the internal patterns that hold you back.
✔ Phase 2: An accessible deep-dive into the Wheel of Consent. You’ll learn how to make clear requests and how to give (and receive) a "No" with grace.
✔ Phase 3: Low-stakes connection games where you can test your new tools in real-time. Connect, socialise, have fun!
Event 2: The Social Playground

Time: 19:00 – 21:00
Location: [Insert Venue Name/Area]
Cost: R300pp
Requirement: Completion of "The Foundations Lab" (or a spirit of openness for newcomers)

We deliberately design the evening to take that pressure off your shoulders. While many people do meet potential partners, we frame the night as a Social Ecosystem. The goal is to practice being your "newer, truer version" in a playful environment. By focusing on the games and the group energy, you bypass the "interview" vibe of a standard date. This allows genuine chemistry to happen naturally, rather than being forced under a spotlight.
Actually, it’s the opposite. Brutal honesty can be reactive, but Authentic Relating is about Relational Intelligence. It’s the practice of noticing what is true for you in the moment and sharing it in a way that creates more connection, not less. We teach you how to share your "social edges"—like feeling nervous or excited—which actually makes you more magnetic and approachable to others in the room.
We consider that a successful night! Because we frame this as a Social Ecosystem, the goal is never to "force" a match. Many participants leave with new friends, professional collaborators, or simply a much higher level of confidence in their own skin. By taking the "Finding The One" pressure off, you actually become more relaxed, which is the most attractive state you can be in. You aren't just looking for a date; you're upgrading your entire social life.
Event #2 Specifics
The Breakdown: Now that we have the tools, it’s time to play. This event is less "workshop" and more "facilitated social." We skip the awkward bar vibes and move straight into joyful exploration.
✔ Phase 1: The Melt: Short, silly icebreakers to get us out of our heads and into our bodies.
✔ Phase 2: The Inquiry: Guided "speed-relating" using prompts that spark depth, not just data-swapping.
✔ Phase 3: The Free Flow: Open social time with a curated soundtrack, where the facilitator is on hand to help you practice your "Practice of No" and contact sharing.
